Mac has powerful speech recognition software built in, which you might already know about. But What you might not know about is a different kind of speech recognition, which offer to let you issue commands to your Mac — to do things such as start apps or select options within dialog boxes etc. For things like this to work, you’ll need a Mac with a built-in microphone, good news is all modern portable Macs and iMacs have this.

- To activate voice commands, open System Preferences (Apple menu → System Preferences),
 - and click the Accessibility icon. Then click the Speakable Items icon in the list on the left, make sure the Settings tab is selected, and
 - click the On radio button next to the Speakable Items option.
 - A circular floating window will appear at the top right of your desktop,
